Our Team

Zachary Morton


As a 13-year veteran of the Navy and SEAL Chief Petty Officer, he specialized in administrative and logistic concerns for a multitude of personnel under his direction. As a collateral duty he designed physical fitness programs and coached personnel at his various commands .

During his time in the teams he attained his master training specialist certification and special operations forces functional trainer certification from Exos. Zachary won the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon for the clydesdale division in 2006 and recently completed the Tahoe Rim 200 mile endurance run.

An Oklahoma native, Zachary graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma State University and is a Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School Alumni.

Patrick Gomez

Program Designer and Coach

Patrick has competed and coached at the NCAA level and is the the premier subject matter expert in the sport of running.

Patrick’s love affair with running began at the age of twelve after completing his first 5k. As a high school state champion in Alabama, an All-Big 12 athlete in the steeplechase at the University of Oklahoma and the 2016 Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon champion, Patrick has experienced success at many levels of distance running. Upon graduating from OU with a Bachelors of Arts degree, Patrick served as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Oklahoma for two years with the cross-country and track and field programs. During his time at OU, Patrick mentored athletes to 44 All-Big 12 performances, multiple All-American awards and a cross-country team to a top 15 finish at the NCAA Cross-Country Championships. Patrick is passionate about running and helping others achieve their athletic goals.

Audrey Rose Price

Speed & Strength Program Design/Trainer

Audrey competed in track and field during her 4 years at the University of Central Oklahoma, breaking the schools triple jump record by 1 foot 7 inches during her senior year. She began as a heptathlete but later directed her skills towards jumps and sprints. While at UCO she earned her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and served as the departments president for 3 years. She is currently working towards her master's in exercise science - sports performance.

Audrey has coached strength and speed conditioning under Tom Ward at Edmond Memorial High School and completed her internship at Athletic Republic. She was a personal trainer at Key Health prior to taking the position at Higher Ground. Audrey is passionate and determined in her guidance to help others reach their athletic goals.

Frezer Legesse


As an Oklahoma class 6A cross country All-Stater, NCAA division I All American, Sub-four minute miler, Big 12 DMR champion/ eight times All Big 12 first team at University of Oklahoma, 2016 Olympic trial semi-finalist and current professional runner for Under Armour, Frezer has experienced success at all levels of running. After graduating from University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Frezer joined Team Indiana Elite that allowed him to continue his collegiate success and sign his professional contract with Under Armor.

Seeking to return to his Oklahoma roots Frezer took a coaching job with NCAA Division II Oklahoma Christian University and started his job with Higher Ground Running. Believing his true passion lays not only with running professional but also coaching and mentoring the next generation of runners.  At Higher Ground he spearheads a weekly program catered specifically to junior level runners.
